Slack FyneDesk

FyneDesk for Slack

Bring your help desk into the place your team already works. Get ticket updates in a Slack channel, raise and answer tickets without leaving Slack, and let agents get alerts as direct messages.

Channel notifications are free · Ticketing & agent DMs on Pro

What you can do

Get notified in a channel Free

New tickets, replies, status changes, and SLA alerts post into a Slack channel you choose — each with a one-click link to the full ticket.

Raise a ticket from Slack Pro

Type /fynedesk, /incident, or /request — or turn any Slack message into a ticket. FyneDesk recognizes you as the requester automatically.

Work the ticket in its thread Pro

Reply in the ticket’s Slack thread and it syncs to FyneDesk; updates flow back into Slack. Assign or resolve straight from the message.

Get alerts as direct messages Pro

Agents can get a Slack DM the moment a ticket is assigned to them or they’re mentioned — following their FyneDesk notification preferences.

Who it’s for

IT, HR & support teams

Teams who live in Slack and want tickets to come to them, not the other way around.

Internal help desks

Let employees raise IT or HR requests with a quick Slack command instead of email.

Customer support teams

Keep real-time visibility of ticket activity in a shared channel everyone watches.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add to Slack

In FyneDesk, go to Settings → Connections → Slack and click Add to Slack, then approve it in your workspace. (Connecting is an admin action.)

  2. 2

    Choose a channel

Pick the channel for updates, choose which events post, and send a test message to confirm it’s working.

  3. 3

    Work from Slack

On Pro, open tickets with slash commands, reply in threads, and use the action buttons — everything stays in sync with FyneDesk.

Frequently asked

What plan do I need?

Slack is a Connection, so it's on Pro and Business: channel notifications, raising and working tickets, and agent DM alerts.

Which slash commands can I use?

/fynedesk lets you choose the type, /incident creates an Incident, and /request creates a Service Request. You can also use Create ticket from message on any message. If another app already uses /incident or /request, use /fynedesk — it always works.

Does it sync both ways?

Yes. Replies in a ticket’s Slack thread become comments on the ticket, and updates in FyneDesk post back into the thread.

Who can do what?

Anyone in the channel sees notifications and can raise a ticket (Pro). Only FyneDesk agents can assign, resolve, or re-prioritize from Slack, and only an admin can connect or disconnect Slack.

Does it work on the free Slack plan?

Yes. Free Slack workspaces limit how many apps you can install, and FyneDesk counts toward that limit. Full steps are in the Slack setup guide.
