The problem with the status quo
The helpdesk market has a pricing problem. Most platforms start at $15–25 per agent per month, then gate their best features behind higher tiers. AI? That's an add-on. Advanced automations? Upgrade. Customer portal? Maybe. By the time a small team is running a real support operation, they're paying $300–400 a month for things that should be standard.
Freshdesk eliminated their free plan in 2025. Zendesk charges $50 extra per agent just to unlock AI. Jira Service Management requires their Premium tier — at $44 per agent — to get intelligent features. The market keeps moving upmarket, leaving small teams behind.
We think that's backwards. AI doesn't cost $50 per agent. And a great ticketing experience doesn't require a six-month onboarding process.
What we built
FyneDesk is a full-featured helpdesk that's free for up to 3 agents — permanently, not as a trial. The free plan includes everything a real support team needs to operate: ticket and request management, a customer-facing portal, knowledge base, live chat, email-to-ticket, SLA tracking, teams and routing, asset management, contact records, analytics, audit trail, webhooks, and AI powered by Claude.
The AI layer isn't a checkbox feature. When an agent opens a ticket, Claude reads the entire thread and surfaces a plain-English summary. It suggests a draft reply based on context. It keeps the agent from having to read 30 messages to understand where things stand. That's included on the free plan at 100 queries per day — no add-on required.
Pro adds the things growing teams need: custom fields, canned responses, advanced automations, skill-based routing, custom branding, bulk actions, and data export. Enterprise adds SSO and REST API access. No feature is permanently locked behind an opaque "contact us" wall.
AI should be standard
Not a premium add-on sold separately. Every agent — regardless of plan — should have AI assistance on every ticket.
Your data stays yours
We don't sell it, share it with marketers, or let it train AI models. What you put in FyneDesk is yours to export and delete at any time.

Security and data protection
FyneDesk runs on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Each organisation's data is completely isolated at the database level through row-level security — your tickets, contacts, and knowledge base are structurally inaccessible to other tenants.
Authentication is handled with minimum 12-character passwords, rate-limited login attempts, and automatic session management. Deactivated accounts are immediately blocked. Admin functions are protected at both the application and database level.
AI features send ticket content to Anthropic's API for processing. That data is not used to train Anthropic's models. For a complete overview, see our Privacy Policy and Security page.
